Nicole Smith

President

Nicole Smith is a valued addition to the Livingston Robotics Club, bringing fresh energy and dedication to furthering the club’s mission of expanding access to STEM and robotics education. She has supported the development of competitive teams across grade levels, with every team under her management qualifying for the NJ State Championship each year. Her efforts have contributed to teams earning both the Design Award and Judges Award at state qualifiers. Nicole revitalized the club’s Student Advisory Board by engaging high school mentors from local robotics teams, strengthening leadership opportunities and peer mentorship. Through her commitment to outreach, field trips, and community partnerships, Nicole continues to drive forward key initiatives that make robotics more accessible, engaging, and impactful for all students.

Sonali Ipte

Vice President

Sonali has 15+ years of experience in Information Technology with an Engineering background. In her current professional role,Sonali works as a global leader in Data engineering and AI. Sonali has been dedicated to advancing the field and empowering the next generation in STEAM. 

Sonali has been coaching a First Lego League (FLL) challenge team since 2021, where her team won the "Best Robot Design" award in 2024 competition. Her passion for technology is matched by her commitment to diversity and inclusion, which is why Sonali also actively volunteers on the board of "Girls Who Code". “Building robots today means shaping the world of tomorrow” is her favorite mantra.
