Technomes

In 2013 season, Technomes consists of five boys from Livingston HMS, and one boy from MPMS. For some of the boys, this is the 3rd year in FLL, and they still love it. Team members have learned so much from FLL program, not only the technical skills, such as how to do research, how to think strategically in Robot games, how to troubleshoot problems, but also the soft skills such as presentation, communication, team work, and gracious professionalism. For Robot performance, team has reached 508 points at home practice. For Nature’s Fury project, team did research in the town we live, interviewed township manager Michelle Meade, and PSE&G technician Jim Bauer, and came up with the solution EPRA (Emergency Preparedness and Response Application), which uses smartphone and GPS technology to improve communication among residents, township management, and utility companies. For core values, team has learned how to work with each other with Gracious Professionalism despite some of the conflicts. Overall, it’s a fun season for the team. Oh, yeah, with those Minecraft parties after the competitions, it’s definitely more fun.
