LRC Teams

Livingston Robotics Club (LRC) started with one Livingston, NJ neighborhood team in August 2007, has since expanding rapidly to include students from K-12, with neighborhood teams joining the Club throughout New Jersey.

For the 2017-18 season, LRC has 110 students, with 10 FLL teams comprised of 55 students, 10 FLL Jr teams comprised of 40 students, and one VEX team with 7 students, one FTC team with 3 students, and two WRO team with 5 students.  All of which were coached by 40+ volunteer parents. Our members were from Livingston, West Orange, Florham Park, Short Hills, Millburn, Summit, Parsippany, East Hanover, Morris Plains,  Berkeley Heights, Scotch Plains, and Boonton areas.

For the 2016-17 season, LRC has 115 students with 11 FLL teams comprised of 66 students, 9 FLL Jr teams comprised of 37 students, and one VEX team with 9 students.  All of which were coached by 40 volunteer parents. Our members were from Livingston, West Orange, Florham Park, Short Hills, Millburn, Summit, Parsippany, East Hanover, Morris Plains, Clifton, Hillsborough, and Rockaway areas.

For the 2015-16 season, LRC has 21 active teams in 3 divisions, with 40 parent coaches, with 126 students, from Livingston, West Orange, Florham Park, Short Hills, Millburn, Summit, Parsippany, East Hanover, Morris Plains, and Ridgewood areas.

For the 2014-15 season, LRC has 14 active teams in 3 divisions, with 32 parent coaches, over 90 students, from Livingston, West Orange, Florham Park, Short Hills, Millburn, Summit, Essex Fells, East Hanover, Morris Plains, and Glen Rock areas.

For the 2013-14 season, LRC has 20 active teams in 3 divisions, with 28 parent coaches, about 100 students, from Livingston, West Orange, Florham Park, South Orange, Short Hills, Millburn, Summit, Kearny, East Hanover, Morris Plains, Pine Brook, Springfield, Basking Ridge, Old Bridge, Chester, Kendall Park, Montville, Marlboro, New Providence, and Matawan areas.

As of 2016-2017 Season:

VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) (high school): 1 team, 3 coaches, 9 students

FIRST LEGO League (age 9 to 14): 11 teams, 22 coaches, 66 students

FIRST LEGO League Jr. (age 6 to 9): 9 teams, 18 coaches, 40 students
