The more the merrier

Since the beginning of our club, we have been helping people in other areas to start new FIRST teams and grow their local programs. The followings are some examples that we extended our help to form new programs in other areas:

• In 2009-10 season, we created a lesson plan for Jr.FLL. The plan was used to start a new club at an elementary school in Northern Kentucky.
• In 2010-11 season, our club member helped start Jr.FLL teams for the PTA sponsored after-school programs in Livingston, Chatham, South Orange/Maplewood in New Jersey
• In 2013-14 season, we collaborated with YMCA to have the teams from their newly formed Jr.FLL program to participate in an Expo.

As we have been collaborating with more and more people and organizations in other areas, we just came to a realization that we should have an official name for this initiative. Starting from the 2014-15 season, we call our role to help in forming a new club in other area as “Robotics Club Incubator”.

Robotics Club Incubator projects:

• In 2015-16 season, we helped create a new club in Rutherford, New Jersey as an after-school program. Their first season started with 2 Jr.FLL teams. These teams also participate in LRC Jr.FLL Expo.
