The LRC Jr.FLL Expo (co-hosted by Spongebot and RoboRocks) was held on May 20, 2017. The theme for the season was about human interactions with animals. There were 41 teams from 22 towns participated in our Expo.

The participants enjoyed the following activities:

• Going back to the prehistoric time when there was no interaction between human and animals. DinosaursRock brought a museum to our Expo. They ran an interactive show with many artifacts about dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. At the end of the show, children enjoyed a Fossil Dig activity.
• Jr. FLL teams (ages 6-9) presenting their “Creature Craze” projects and LEGO models that incorporate motors and computer programming.
• FIRST LEGO League (FLL) robot demonstration of the “Animal Allies” missions by RoboRocks
• VEX Robotics Competition robot demonstration by Exit 5 Robotics
• Family friendly activities including a petting zoo, art & craft, face painters, a giant blow-up obstacle course and slides, adopt-a-pet, and a chalk walk, food and music among others.
