On Sunday, September 10, 2017 several teams from LRC shared their love for robotics at the opening of RWJBarnabas Health new Cooperman Pavilion at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. RWJBarnabas Health Saint Barnabas Medical Center has been a generous sponsor to the LRC so some of the LRC teams came out to celebrate the momentous occasion for the medical center.
Team members Simon and Tyler Ferreira represented team Dino Thunder. Jannet Chara, Maggie Siao and Chloe Sivitz from team Exit 5A and Collin Eagen, Revant Maridi, Peter Molzer , Paxton Nithikasem, Tien Rattanasoontorn, Ton Rattanasoontorn, Anlin Wei, Guang-lin Wei from team Spongebot participated in the celebration.
The teams showed their robots as part of the tech fair at the grand opening of the new five-story, 241,000-square-foot wing of Saint Barnabas Medical Center. The tech fair included demos of cutting-edge medical devices and robotics used in the medical center.
