Livingston Robotics Club will host our 7th Junior FIRST LEGO League Expo at the Livingston Oval, a robotics event for children ages 6-9. There will be 30 teams from around Northern New Jersey which include 9 teams from Livingston to participate. The public is invited to see all robotics projects done by these children. This year’s theme for the Expo is “Waste Wise”. It’s all about issues around solid waste management. There will be demonstrations of automated trash collection and recycling for everyone to learn more about them. The demonstrations include an automated side loading garbage truck from Blue Diamond Disposal, and the Artificial Intelligence Recycler (A.I.R.) from Spongebot, a semi-finalist team from Livingston who will present this product at the FLL Global Innovation Award to be held at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in June. The event is co-hosted by Spongebot and Exit 5A Robtoics. There will also be demo of VEX robots by Exit 5 Robotics.
