On Saturday, November 19, the five members LRC team Supreme Machine #4754 had an amazing day at the 2011 New Jersey FIRST LEGO League regional qualifier event held at Clifton High School.
Throughout the day, our team enjoyed sharing and networking about our “Food Factor” science projects and robot design ideas with 21 other teams. Since most of our members are in 8th grade, this is perhaps our last season in FLL, we want to give it our best!
With months of hard work, and with three experienced coaches, we did very well in our “Is my apple safe to eat?” project presentation and robot design at the qualifier. Our robot performance steadily held the first place rank on the competition floor with a high score of 208. At the end of the day, the team was exhilarated to take home two First Place Awards in Robot Design and Robot Performance!
Our team is looking forward to another chance to compete at the NJ FLL State Championship on Saturday, December 10 at Mount Olive High School.
Many thanks to our hard working robotics coach Howard Tang, our veteran project coach Stephanie Bash-Soudry from the former LRC team Technophile, our tireless overall coordinator Jannie Zheng, and the support and guidance from Livingston Robotics Club.
Look forward to the NJ FLL State Championship!
