LRC teams Won at November NJ FLL & FTC Qualifiers

Over this past weekend, multiple FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) qualifiers took place throughout New Jersey, LRC teams once again proven to be high performing in both divisions with 3 LRC teams took home 1st place awards.

On the FLL front, on Saturday 11/19/11, LRC teams Supreme Machines #4751 and Alpha Force #4754 both came home with a 1st place Robot Design Awards from two different qualifiers. Supreme Machines, who consistently holding the #1 spot throughout the day, also won the 1st place Robot Performance at Clifton Qualifier.  These two teams will advance to the NJ FLL State Championship to be held on December 10, 2011 at Mt. Olive High School.

At the “Fall Harvest” Marlton FTC Qualifier on Sunday 11/20/11, team Landroids #4220 won the highest Inspire Award and the Winning Alliance Captain, holding an undefeated #1 ranking in all robot performance matches all day.  When paired up with the #2 seed team MASH #4077 from PA, this formidable alliance were able to lift multiple crates and score the magnet ball in the same robot round, earning a high score of 213 in one of the final matches.  Landroids was qualified to attend the February 11, 2012 NJ FTC State Championship at NJIT.

The next round of FLL and FTC qualifiers will start on the first weekend of December, more LRC teams will be attending these tournaments.  All of these events are free and opened to public, with the exception of the December 3 Liberty Science Center FLL qualifier, which the science museum will offer a reduced admission fee that day.  Team Landroids and Landrias from Livingston Robotics Club are to host the Liberty Science Center FLL Qualifier.
