We were on live TV!

On November 14, 2010, our team “Legobotics” was on the 3rd Annual Live Broadcast of “A Celebration of Livingston.” Our Jr.FLL team members consists of 2nd and 3rd graders from Livingston and East Hanover. The children presented three projects that they created and explained how they move with television cameras and a full audience staring right at them! Although all team members (and parents!) were nervous, it was a fantastic experience for everyone!

Our team has bi-monthly meetings to complete the challenge that FIRST provides for us. This year, the children are learning about Biomedical Engineering, and will create a movable LEGO project that has to do with the advances of science and medicine. At our meetings, the children participate in a team building activity, research the challenge topic, and build and test movable LEGO projects.

I have been the coach for the Legobotics for two seasons now. I am very proud of the team. Our team has so much fun together! They have no idea that they are even learning about such advanced topics. Livingston Robotics Club has provided me with so much support and enthusiasm since our team got started. Thanks!!!
