After a whole day of intense NJ FIRST LEGO League Qualifiers competed throughout the Garden State on this past Saturday 11/20/10, three of the LRC FLL teams have confirmed to receive a invitation to the NJ FLL State Tournament. For the complete winner list, see here.
Landrias (#1017) took home the Champion’s Award with a polished and perfect performance in robot design and the research project. This is Landrias’ second regional Champion’s Award two years in a row. The team also achieved a 2nd place in Robot Performance with a respectable robot score of 290.
Exit 5 Robotics (#3606), a rookie 4th grade girls team, hit a stunning high score of 315 in the first match with a perfect execution of round-robin switching in and out the robot handlers. The team had attended the Metuchen practice event the weekend before, and managed to take the lessons learned to improve their robot performance score by 250 points in one week!
Supreme Machine (#4868) participated in Montclair event, and won the second place in Robot Performance. The team was also one of the top contenders in Robot Design. Through the competition, the boys know how to improve their robot design and presentations. They are practicing and looking forward to the state competition.
Congratulations to all LRC FLL teams for a great job well done! Good luck at the State!
