
LRC teams: Landroids, Landrias, Spongebots and Legobotics will participate in 4 out of the 26 exhibitions at the 1st annual NJ RoboFest as part of the NJ Science and Engineering Festival on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, from 10 AM to 5 PM at Clifton High School, in Clifton, NJ.
As the 1st place winner, Landroids will host a MoonBots Exhibition (for age 9 and up) with an interactive (tele-operated) robot for visitors to try. The visitors can also bring their own Mindstorm robots for a roam on the 7.5′ x 7.5′ LEGO Moonscape or post for a photo opportunity. The team will show their behind-the-scene robot design footages, videos, and pictures from the visiting the LEGO Group at Denmark.
In addition, Landroids will be part of the NJ FTC Scrimmage (high school level) to try out their brand new FTC robot for the “Get Over It” season.
Landrias will host the FLL exhibition (age 9 to 14) for this year’s “Body Forward” Challenge. A FLL table will be set up, anyone who wants to bring his/her FLL robot to show off a couple missions are welcome to do so.
Spongebots and Legobotics are the hosts for the Jr. FLL exhibition (age 6 to 9). Any WeDo or Jr. FLL enthusiasts, come by for a chat with the coaches and find out more information about Jr. FLL.
